Herbs for the Heart

Description: As sensitive humans, our hearts carry so much throughout our lifetimes, from the most fulfilling, uplifting joys to the depths of painful soul-wrenching sorrows. At times, it can feel as though our strong yet tender hearts are breaking—holding the weight of personal disappointments, collective suffering, and the losses that come with loving. Heartache is an inherent part of being human, and while it’s always been a shared experience, today’s world can leave us feeling particularly vulnerable and in need of extra support. Thankfully, the plants are here for us, as they always have been.

Join herbalist, botanist, and educator Lia Leibman (@herbalist.lia) for a journey into the world of heart-healing herbalism. For millennia, herbs have been our allies, offering comfort, protection, and a gentle sense of calm. This ancient support remains just as relevant today. From rose to linden, yarrow, and beyond, we’ll explore the medicinal properties, botany, and folklore of these heart-supportive herbs.

Together, we will dive into various herbal preparations such as teas, cordials, steams, and syrups, learning when and how to use them to soothe a broken heart. You’ll have the chance to taste herbs, connect with the plants, and craft your own herbal heart healing syrup to take home. By the end of this workshop, you’ll have new tools and gentle remedies to support yourself and your loved ones through heartbreak.
