Massage Modalities

Our practitioners are trained in many different modalities. You are sure to find a style that fits your needs.

Acupressure - If you feel congested in your body, achy, and/or want to improve circulation, book this.

Craniosacral - If you are looking for a “system reboot” - energetic, emotional, and physical, craniosacral is subtle and less about soft tissue, more about the nervous system.

Deep Tissue - If you want that “ironed out” feeling and enjoy full body deep pressure.

Energy Work - Subtle work that is intuitive by nature. Drop in and allow an unfolding to occur. Wonderful if you are looking for releasing patterns of dysfunction.

Lomi Lomi - A spiritual modality that feels encompassing with long, rhythmic strokes. If you are looking to work through grief, loss, pain, or other ailments that affect all the bodies, book this modality.

Lymphatic Drainage - NOT FOR POST-OP! But, excellent for improving circulation and reducing pain in the neck, shoulders, and hips.

Myofascial Release - If you want highly-focused work done with your practitioner using mostly hands (versus elbows or forearms). Fascial release increases range of motion and helps with persistent pain.

Neuromuscular - Are your glutes “not firing” or you’ve been told you have some asymmetries? Book this modality to get muscles back online and communicate through the mind-body connection.

Polarity - Energy work that balances mind, body, soul. Consider it “adaptogenic” where it increases low levels and reduces high levels of: energy, blood flow, range of motion, and awareness. It is both highly physical and energetic.

Pregnancy - We will work within the 1st-3rd trimester with a focus on comfort and deep tissue for all the areas that tend to need focus - low back, hips, feet, and sacrum.

Reflexology - Mostly done through the feet, this is excellent if you have chronic pain anywhere in the body. Book this session and you’ll receive a combination of Reflexology and full-body Swedish to help integrate the work.

Sports Therapy - Are you an athlete? Looking for improved performance? Book a sports therapy session.

Swedish - If you enjoy a relaxing touch that uses oil and long strokes. This is what folks usually refer to when they ask for a “regular massage”.

Table Thai - The use of momentum and gravity rather than muscular strength; work along energy lines called sen lines; rocking; and range-of-motion assisted stretching.

Table Shiatsu - Compressive work that will help you to relieve back, shoulder, leg, and/or foot pain.

Trigger Point - This modality releases the most stubborn, perplexing, and difficult to address pain points. Sciatica, neck or shoulder pain, and other issues that “refer” are handled well with Trigger Point.

Tui Na - Abdominal massage. Helps with digestion, emotional regulation, and low back issues. If you book Tui Na, it will be incorporated into a full-body approach so as to help the body integrate the work.
